The Byrne Center Mission:
The Byrne Center, PLLC is a dedicated counseling center specializing in the treatment of trauma (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and substance and behavioral addictions. Utilizing a range of therapeutic approaches including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), the center offers personalized care to support clients on their journey to healing.
Sean, the owner and counselor, brings over 30 years of experience to the practice. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Internationally Certified Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist (ICPS), and Certified Harm Reduction Specialist (CHRS). Sean's extensive education, experience, and down-to-earth approach ensure that each client receives the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs.
Counseling Services
Sean and Teresa Byrne provide individual, family, and couples counseling using EMDR and Narrative Therapy techniques. We treat a variety of concerns including depression,
anxiety, fears, behavioral problems, addictions, mental illness, etc. Teresa has extensive experience with children and younger adolescents. Sean sees clients ages 12 and older and military members and spouses.
Professional Trainings & LPC Supervision
Sean Byrne, ICPS, CHRS, LMSW, LCSW, LPC-S has over 30 years’ experience in social services and community change. He is an adjunct professor at NWOSU and the former training/technical assistance specialist for OU's Strategic Prevention Technical Assistance Center (SPTAC), assisting the 9 states in HHS Regions 6 & 7 on SAMHSA Grant implementation. He is the former Executive Director of the Enid United Way and PreventionWorkz RPC. Sean speaks to civic clubs, businesses, and schools. LPC Supervision is available by application.

He is certified in both substance use prevention and harm reduction and was the trainer/technical assistance provider for the Strategic Prevention Technical Assistance Center (SPTAC). Sean's extensive expertise ensures that clients receive the highest quality of care, tailored to their specific circumstances.
